Ello England. 'Ows tings? Awesom week thuis far. Last weekend, after all the other AVs came over on Friday night for Victorias birthday (awesom night) we went to stay in moshi for the weekend. Had my first proper shower since leaving the UK. IT.WAS.AMAZING. Sampled the one club tanzania has to offer us, twas an exprience! Found Dan (our token American) slam drunk in a cupboard, doing a very good inpersonation of a corpse. We reckoned later he had tryied to narnia his way back to the US.
teaching this week has been great. We've been studying nouns and I'm fairly sure they get it (at least kisololi do) Its amazing the difference between the two schools. as teachers i guess your not ment to have favourites. Rach and me do! Kisololi is so much better behaved, more polite, more honest and get on with their work without any trouble! Nshara are so rowdy and the beright ones spend most of their time finishing off the maths work for their previous lessons. THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING,. becuase theyre doing maths, they dont understand whats going on, then thats our brightest student down. I got so angry with them today i slammed my hand down on the desk untill i saw every single maths book in bags. I am definately the bad guy out of me and Rach, shes so nice its ridculous! Sport is going really well, Kisololi are so great and pick things up really quickly, we're starting rounders with them on monday (Argh cant wait). Less said about Nshara the better. They kick alot.
Also started a singing club on thursday which was really good, started any dream will do which is sounding good. Though no one really understand the idea of 'after school', when the bell went they all just left! Me and rach were left in the classroom like, urm......
Spent alot of my donation money already on paint, cannot wait to get started. working on the prep drawing for the mural and im going to start painting standard 1 classroon on monday. Mr shinno (finally found out his name!) asked me to write out the alphabet for him, which i will do, along with a big picture of bambi! (which i found in the house)
right, got to go.
Next time i promis i wont blab so much and will talk of other things that need mentioning, these be; African time, Mr Meena and transport!!
